A woman in Libya disposed of her newborn baby. According to authorities, a shocking crime that caused public outrage was committed in the city of Derna. The woman threw her newborn to stray dogs shortly after giving birth. The Criminal Investigation Department stated that the woman confessed to giving birth at her home in the eastern Libyan city of Derna. It was noted that the pregnancy was the result of an extramarital affair. The suspect stated that she immediately placed the baby in a plastic bag after birth, took it to a landfill, and threw it there. She also confirmed that she saw a pack of stray dogs tearing the baby's body but did not intervene. The woman justified her actions by saying that the baby's father, her cousin, refused to acknowledge the pregnancy and take responsibility for the newborn. The investigative agency has taken all necessary legal measures against the mother and father. The accused have been referred to the Public Prosecution to continue the investigation and trial in accordance with the law. The department described the incident as being stripped of all humanity.
