It was announced that the Charitable Foundation of the United Nations has established a consultative committee that will support and ensure the conduct of elections in the country. This step aims to strengthen support for the local electoral process in Libya, which was noted in December 2021.
Members of the committee were selected based on their experience and expertise in these important issues. The representative on Libyan issues and head of the UN mission in Libya noted: "This committee will play a key role in ensuring transparency and objectivity in the conduct of elections, as well as in developing strategies important for sustainable political processes in Libya."
The committee will assist in formulating specialized aspects and issues related to the elections, as well as to provide necessary technical support and training to ensure the successful conduct of upcoming elections in Libya.
