Local authorities in Libya discovered at least 11 bodies of migrants in a mass grave in the southeast of the country. This was reported by a representative of human rights organizations to the Reuters agency.
"We have discovered a mass grave in the Al-Arbaeen area of southeast Libya from the Tarhuna family. So far, 11 bodies have been found, but the search continues," said the official.
Experts have already begun to work at the site of the mass grave. According to the International Organization for Migration, Libya is a key point on the migration route for migrants and refugees trying to reach Europe via the Mediterranean Sea.
